After my vacation in Tuscany village and Florence, I went to an Italian beach resort in Viareggio and Pisa. This is a small village or city, famous for its really impressive carnival in February and close location to Pisa, just 40 min by bus. I have chosen this town as it has some incredible Art Deco architecture.
In a few words, Viareggio has amazing southern nature. Fantastic (expensive though) cafes. One is the Art Deco style I adore. Nice promenade, stunning, equipped beaches.

Sea itself is not that good. Pisa is close, and deserves all that hype. Even the city itself is cool, full of Italian restaurants and even museums. Pisa is a small Florence for me.
I rent an apartment via Airbnb 20 min walk, and it costs me around 70 euro per night per family.
So, this city is good for a lazy vacation on the beach, with stunning Italian restaurants and Monaco vibes. A bit luxurious I would say. But I was interested in the uniqueness of the Art Deco buildings.
